The 12TB G-RAID Studio Storage System with Thunderbolt 2 from G-Technology is designed for more advanced applications, like storing or saving 2K and 4K compressed video, as well as more basic storage. The G-RAID Studio has two removable enterprise drives that can be configured with multiple RAID options that also supports Thunderbolt 2.
The G-RAID Studio comes with two enterprise drives running at 7200RPM preconfigured in RAID 0 for transfer rates up to 330 MB/s which makes this suitable for many purposes such as backing up family photos and video, professional digital content use and more. Also included are all necessary accessories to get the G-RAID Studio running, such as power cable and Thunderbolt 2 cable.
Dual Thunderbolt 2 Ports
Thunderbolt 2 offers a single 20Gb/s bi-directional channel that allows you to stream and write 4K video at the same time. Also daisy chain up to six Thunderbolt devices at the same time
Hardware RAID Options
Preconfigured in RAID 0 but also supports RAID 1 or JBOD. RAID 0 shares data between two drives giving you the best performance. RAID 1 stores identical data onto both drives to preserve data if one drive fails but reduces the total storage capacity and speed by half. Lastly JBOD creates one logical drive so instead of seeing two drive letters you will see one.
